OUR 2010 RACE TEAM
Tony Giguere - Age 34 - Hometown: Winslow, ME - Cat 3 - Team Director.
Tony is CMCC's 2010 team director and has been racing for over 10 years. Living in Winslow with his wife Lisa and their two daughters. Tony started racing mountain bikes and made the transition to road shortly after. Tony won the Belfast criterium in 2008 and had consistent results throughout the 2009 season.
Ron Dunn - Age 50 - Hometown: Winslow, ME - Cat 3 & Masters
Ron is one of the teams veteran racers. He has been racing for over 15 years. Ron races Cat 3 and Master road and criterium races. Ron has done many local and national stage races and has had several top results over the years. Ron brings his coaching skills to the team and will be a team leader at all of our events coordinating our tactics. Ron lives in vassalboro with his wife and they have two grown children.
Alan Cunningham - Age 57 - Hometown: Winslow, ME - Cat 4 & Masters
Alan started riding seven years ago. Alan is a very strong master level racer and has recently been promoted to a Cat 4 racer. Alan is really looking forward to experiencing higher levels of racing in 2010. Alan lives in Vassalboro with his wife and they enjoy riding the tandem both for fun and racing in time trials.
Paul Denis - Age 52 - Hometown: Fairfield, ME - Cat 3 & Masters
Paul is a 52 year old Cat 3 and master level road racer. Paul has been racing for the past 15 years, starting out racing mtb and then switching over to road. Paul is an extremely stong and consistant racer. Paul will be one of our go to guys for 2010, we will be looking for some top finishes out of him. Paul lives in Fairfield with his wife Kim and they have one son Brock who recently signed as a cat 2 racer for a Boston based team.
Paul Magoon - Age 32- Hometown: Cornville, ME - Cat 4
Paul is fairly new to road racing with one year at cat 5 and 1/2 a year of Cat 4. Paul's an extremely strong rider and we expect big things from him. Paul took the Cat 5 races by storm in 2009. Paul lives in Cornville with his wife Shelley and their two children.
Bill Jason - Age 40 - Hometown: Winslow, ME - Expert - Mountain Bike
Bill is new to the CMCC Race team and opens a new discipline to our portfolio as a CAT 1 Endurance/XC rider. Bill is a 24 hour endurance rider, who competes throughout New England. Bill has spent two years competing on mountain bikes and had an inspiring 4th place finish at the 24 Hours of Great Glen Race in 2009. Bill lives with his wife and two kids in Winslow.
Dr. John Poirier - Age 58 - Hometown: Oakland, ME - Masters - Expert - Mountain Bike
John has been raccing mountain bikes for over 10 years and is the current Maine Masters Expert Champion. John's domination off the road will help with his tansition to some on road events. John brings a solid one two punch at the CAT 1 Endurance/XC in our new mountain bike effort. John lives with his wife and two sons in Oakland.
Jim Johnson - Age 38 - Hometown: Hallowell, ME - Cat 4
Jim joins the CMCC team in 2010 after his move from Los Angeles. Jim has been raccing consistently for the last four years, and has accomplished several top ten results. Jims long distance forte along with his great team skills will add to the CMCC depth and diversity. Jim likes stage races and brings vast experience in that discipline. Jim lives with his wife and two dogs in Hallowell.
Matt Reynolds - Age 31 - Hometown: Farmington, ME - Cat 3
In 2010 CMCC expands it's racing program with many new Cat 5 riders. Jerry Hart and Dave Leach of Waterville, Phil Dugas, Carla Dugas, and Paul Dermerchant from Skowhegan as well as Dave Richard of Vassalboro will compete in a limited number of team events. Most of these riders are cycling veterans but new to racing and will gain valuable experience joining the team.
